could my 10 month old son have ADHD?

my son is 10 months old and he is showing every sign that he could have ADHD or ADD.

my sons brother has got ADHD and my sons dad has ADHD, could this just be coincidence? how old do you have to be to get tested?

It would be impossible to determine if your son has ADHD. Most doctors are hesitant to diagnose a child at this age for several reasons. One reason is that a diagnosis of ADHD must cause some impairment and it would be impossible to say at this point if your child is impaired in any way. Another reason would be it is impossible to receive feedback from your son on how he feels or what he is thinking at this age. There are other reasons as well as these.

 

ADHD does tend to run in families, so it is not a coincidence that your sons and their father have ADHD.
