Q: How can I argue in Illinois schools on grade retention that I do not agree with?

I requested an IEP evaluation for my 7th grader (ADD) in November. The school opted for TAT meetings. Now he is to be held back in 7th grade? I just can't let that happen as he is above 7th grade work. How do I argue with them? I am in Illinois if that helps. Thanks

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com

You  may want to consider talking with an educational advocate about your situation, especially if you feel the school district is not listening to you and the best interests of your son are not being taken into consideration.
