I too am in way over my head with Adderall. I have been prescribed 60 mg a day and take 3 mg of xanax to sleep at night. (My prescription is for 2mg). I also have a script for Ativan 1 mg per night when I run out of the xanax. I am currently 5'7" and weigh 105 lbs at best. I am 37 and have three children, two with autism, and am 4 classes from completing my B.A. I feel awful at night. My knuckles get red and cuticles irritated. My hand and knuckles feel weird and swollen, and my skin looks awful, although no one else wil admit this to me. My pore size seems huge on adderall and I am oily on my face and scalp. My hair has thinned and the new growth is very thin. I have been taking the meds for a year and a half. I want to quit but find the lethargy to be overwhelming due to my many obligations. Sometimes, I run out before I can refill, and the days seem meaningless. I get nothing done and feel awful. By the time I can refill, I am chomping at the bit to get my meds just for the energy and the cycle starts again. Please help with any suggestions that do not involve going to my doctor and admitting to having a problem. Hope that makes sense. Help!
