Saturday, April 18, 2009 akapeller asks

Q: I take concerta- a total of 72 mg. one in the morining, one in the afternoon.

I am 29. I found out that I was add/adhd when I was 23? When should I stop taking these.. If I am planning on having kids within the near future? I also have a hard time with spending money, trying to make others that I work with happy.(ie: buying drinks for them in the morining). Also why do I have a hard time getting out what I need to say.. ? I know that this is alot of questions,but alot has been on my mind latley. thanks.

It would be impossible to say when you should stop taking Adderall. Some people use medication long-term and other people take it for a short period of time or use it only when needed. This depends on the individual.

 

Medication alone will not control all symptoms of ADHD, behavioral strategies should be used as well to help control any symptoms that are interfering with your daily life.

 

In addition, some adults with ADHD find it useful to use an ADHD coach to help work on specific areas of their life. A coach will work with you to find strategies you can employ on a daily basis, such as budgeting and self-esteem issues.
