Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice.

Joint pain, bruising and swelling are not listed as side effects of Vyvanse, however, not every side effect can be listed. Because every person reacts to medication differently, it is possible these symptoms are a result of the medication. It is also possible something else may be causing your symptoms.

I would suggest you immediately contact your doctor and explain the symptoms you are having. He would be the best person to help you decide if you should stop this medication or adjust the dosage.

You may want to keep a log of your side effects so you have specific information to share with your doctor.

Thank you!! THey are currently trying to figure it out. I have also added swelling to my feet with red and purple colors, and numbness. I have sores on my back which they are saying looks to be MRSA so i am on antibiotics. I am very sore and uncomfortable. I dont know i just think its kind of odd that all of these things are happening together.

My 16 year old son was switched to Vyvanse 50mg and started experiencing headaches, stomach aches, and body pain 3 hours after taking the first dose. Each day his symptoms got progressively worse so I stopped the medication after the third dose. By then his headaches were migraines and his body pains were head to toe;he hurt so bad he could hardly move.  It's been a week since stopping the Vyvanse and his symptoms still haven't resolved. He's been to the ER and to his doctor twice in the last week and none of them know what to do to help him; they won't even admit that his symptoms are related to the Vyvanse.  At this point his doctor won't even see him because he doesn't know what to do; I was told to take him to the Children's Hospital ER. I just wish I knew for sure if all of this was from the Vyvanse and how long it will take before he feels better because the doctors sure don't know anything about what's going on!
