Q: what medication is out there that can treat depression and ADHD at the same time?

I have been misdiagnosed with bipolar and have done the testing to prove I have depression and ADHD.  Is there some meds that adress both symptoms?

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

I am not a medical professional and this is a question best addressed by your physician. Some people, however, find wellbutrin to be a good medication for ADHD and depression. You can speak with your doctor about this as he or she would be able to determine which medication would be best for you.

I'm not sure if there a single medication that can treat both at the same time. I also have depression and anxiety to go with my adhd. I am currently on Lexapro and it does a good job of battling the depression and anxiety and not interfering with my adderall. It works well together. Defiantly something to ask your doctor about though.
