Q: I'm soo frustrated!!

My son has ADHD. His school insted of educating him. When he acts up in class they send him home. They let him only attend school for 2 hrs. He is in 1st grade and has barely a pre school education. This is the 2nd year now. Who can I talk to to help me get the school to educate my son?

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

I would suggest contacting your school and requesting an evaluation to determine if your son is eligible for an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). If he is not eligible for services under this program, he may still be eligible for accommodations under a Section 504.

Your son has the right to an education under the laws in our country and the school should work with you in determining how to best provide your son with an education.

I am providing you with some links to additional information to help you in requesting services and accommodations for your son:
