Hi Kimberli324:

I am not a psychiatrist, but have many patients on Adderall or some other medication for ADD/ADHD. Adderall is a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine

It sounds like they may have changed your prescription to a generic brand, and typically they work exactly like the brand name medications. Insurance companies will often do this without your approval (they can do this) in order to save money.

The FDA is very careful about regulating medications that we get from US pharmacies. You should ask your pharmacist about this if you are concerned.

If you got your medication from mail order, or from Canada, for instance, take the bottle to your local pharmacy and ask them about the contents.

I hope this helps,
