Friday, September 30, 2011 emily asks

Q: i feel like im alone and i dont mind feeling pain or sad because at aleast im feeling something if i feel this way does that mean i have depression, can somebody help me ???????????

sometime i feel like i just dont care. it feels no matter how hard i try nothing is ever good enough and i dont feel im good enough i need help !!!

I did answer your other questions as well. I am sorry you are feeling so bad right now. Have you spoken with your doctor? If you do have depression (I am not a medical professional so I would not be able to tell you if you do), there are treatments available that will help you feel better.

 

No one should need to feel like this. Do you have a doctor? Is there something going on in your life that is causing your sadness?

 

I would certainly suggest talking to your doctor about  what you have been feeling. If you can't afford a doctor or don't have insurance, you can check out the resources in: Mental Health Resources When You Don't Have Health Insurance

 

You say that you don't feel anything you do is good enough. Good enough for who?

i do have a doctor and i am going to see him again soon but i just feel so depressed lately and i just got out of a really bad break up 2 months ago i feel like this year has been so bad and im going throw alot at home. but i get so sad and then i have so much anixety when im sad. Cry

Going through a break up is tough and some take longer than others to recover from - give yourself time to mourn your loss and decide what you want to do going forward. However, if you find the depression is interfering with your daily activities, don't wait to see your doctor, call and make an appointment soon.

 

You might also want to try getting out and getting exercise every day, even if only taking a walk for 15 minutes each day. Exercise really can help lift depression and reduce anxiety. I know when you are feeling down you don't really have the motivation to get up and out, but try to force yourself to do so anyway, it may make you feel better.

Eileen,

i just want to thankyou for all of you help i talk to my mother about it and i went to see a doctor and hes made an appointment to go see a special doctor to help me out more. but im going through still the same things and more like ppl says mean thngs that hurt and i was told you cant break something thats already been broken, but, they did it. Its like that took all the broken pieces and threw them on the ground and stepped on them and broke me even more than i already was.

what should i do??Undecided

I am so sorry you were hurt like that. You deserve better. Do you have a good friend that you can lean on when others are being mean? Is this happening at school? Can you talk to a teacher about what is happening?

 

I am glad that you talked to your mother and that she was understanding and wants to get you some help. Hopefully, when you see the specialist, you will be able to talk about what you are going through.

 

Please let me know what is going on.
