Hi Joan: Here are the official diagnostic criteria for ADHD. If you think that your grandson has these symptoms, then you should get permission in writing from his mother to take him to a therapist who specializes in this. You can find one locally at Psychology Today. He may have ADHD or it may just be a discipline problem. Either way, it's worth getting professional help. Best of Luck, Dr. Diana Walcutt
