Am interested in other ways to calm my overactive thinking tiger than with drugs
How do others take care of their anxiety and their overactive mind as a result of that?
I have fallen in love and the guy is very nice I think. The contact is good. But the newness of it sends my mind reeling again and it is very tiring. I used to resent being in love because of this. But we seem to like each other a lot and understand each others need for space and time apart. Hyperfocus when we are together, urgent monologues when I am alone. I am watching it now to see how it behaves. But still tiresome. Is it as intense for others as well? Am reading the book Delivered from Distraction .What a lovely book and what a respectfull approach. Well done !

How wonderful for you, a new and exciting relationship in your life! This can be scary, especially if you are already prone to anxiety. (More info: Anxiety in Relationships) I think everyone goes into hyperdrive when a new relationship starts, especially when you think it may last and be "the one." This high emotional state can be difficult to handle and fears often send people packing (hence, committment phobias). Hang in there and see where it takes you. Take it slow if you need to and leave some time to yourself to relax, unwind and cope with the intense emotions.
As far as natural remedies, I am giving you a link to a page that explores the many different options. Many of these are not very effective, so you need to be careful when deciding which, if any, you want to try.
