Monday, January 30, 2012 Smith asks

Q: Is it okay to take Setraline and Methylin at the same time for weight loss? I've read one stimulates dopamine and one stimulates seratonin for the obsessive/compulsive dieter.

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Central's ADHD Community.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice.

According to Walgreen Pharmacy's drug interaction tool, these two medications taken together do not cause any interactions.

However, you should speak with your doctor before taking these medications together.
