I am 53 yo female with ADD since before it was fasionably diagnosed in adults.  I can remember a plethora of troubles in school that were the result of my ADD/ADHD.  I am now petetioning to the National Board of Occupational Therapy NBCOT for a test accommodation for my national board exam.  The NBCOT is giving my pychologist and I the run around in granting an accommodation for double test time in a distraction free enviornment.  My PhD. states that there are no "STANDARDIZED TEST FOR ADULT ADD/ADHD"  (the NBCOT wants standardized test results") to grant the accommodation.

JUST WHAT TESTS WOULD SUFFICE FOR BEING CONSIDERED "STANDARDIZED TESTS TO DETERMINE ADULT ADD/ADHD TO GRANT SUCH AN ACCOMMODATION?

We are three months into this game of faxing other "self reporting interview" tests results and being rejected time and again by the NBCOT.  We are getting to the point of filing a grievence to the Dept. of educations or Dept of Justice for discrimination!!

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE QUALIFIY MY CONCERN ABOUT "sTANDARDIZED tESTS"

Thank You.
