i am worried (live w/add) i have htn and also take adderall, how will this affect my htn?

Adderall can cause an increase in blood pressure. Normally, this increase does not cause any problems, however, if you have already been diagnosed with hypertension, you should consult with your doctor and have your blood pressure checked on a regular basis to be sure your blood pressure is remaining within a normal or safe range.

 

If you have not yet discussed your hypertension with your prescribing doctor, please do so. If you have, and your doctor is monitoring your blood pressure, then he or she must feel it is not causing concerns.

 

Your concerns, however, should be discussed directly with your doctor.
