Hi Ruthie,   Thank you for your question. According to the package insert for Adderall XR, the contents of the capsule may be sprinkled on applesauce. The applesauce should be consumed immediately, and swallowed without chewing (you don't want to break open the little sprinkles). When information like this is included in the package insert, it usually means that the product has been tested in applesauce and there is no effect on the medication - you get the same dose into the body, and it has the same effects as if it was still in the capsule.
