Q: I am 31 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD about 3 weeks ago.

I am 31 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD about 3 weeks ago. I have struggled with these issues throughout my childhood but have never been diagnosed because my mother does not believe in such a thing. I have previously been diagnosed with bipolar, depression, anxiety, and have been prescribed various antidepressants (none of them were effective). I finally decided that I would seek professional help (once again) because these "issues" disrupt my life, my relationships, and sadly, my children's lives. I recently got married and could see my disruptive pattern beginning to take place, much like my previous 2 relationships. My Dr. prescribed Vyvanse, 20mg. It was my idea to start very slow because I am terribly sensitive to medications. I feel so much better! Except for a couple of things. 1. If I check my e-mail at work, I will look at the clock and realize it has been 2 hours. This is just an example. 2. The evenings are very rough for me. I am going to college and am having a very hard time focusing at night. My Dr. prescribed xanax .25mg, and I have to take 2 of them to fall asleep.  Can you give me any suggestions???

I am also adhd. and I found out that I was adhd, when I was 25. I am still trying to figure it out, but

are u wanting to go homepathic, or just wanting to stay on these meds.. if they help you then continue to take them, go talk with a phycistrist.. about these problems that u have been having. or you could write them a diary---

hope you have a great weekend.. best of luck lauren

I am a vitamin and herbal advocate! I have tried numerous vitamins and supplements to control my problems, however, nothing has worked for me. I feel like I have been banging my head against a cement wall for the last several years, trying to find something that works for me.
