Q: adderall makes you lose weight, but i'm wondering if strattera does the same thing?

i'm taking strattera for my adhd and i'm wondering if anyone else has experienced weight loss.  I was hoping to get adderall to help both my adhd and also lose weight, but i didnt' get that.. so i'm wondering if this will help me out on both??

No, I lost weight when I was on metadate but I gained weight on strattera. I felt like it didn't work as well as ritalin. I would even forget if I took it some days. I never had forgotten whether or not I took my metadate. I actually gained about 20 lbs on the strattera.

All the medications work different for different people.  I was on adderall for several years, and lost a lot of weight at first.  I was NEVER hungry and would get sick if I over ate.  But then it stopped working for my ADHD, so now I am on Ritalin.  It seems to help with my ADHD, and some with the appetite, but nothing compared to adderall.   I have never tried strattera, but know people that have, and they say it doesn't work.  If it doesn't work for you, tell you doctor, and try a different med.
