Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

You don't mention whether you are currently receiving treatment for ADHD. Some people find medications help with motivation and allow them to focus and complete more. Others find the use of coaches help them to create personal goals and work to complete those goals. Other people find behavior modification helps.

Finding motivation will be different in each person, depending on their individual situation.

I love helping people! Ask me anything. : )

Hi everyone. Although I am young I have a lot of background to give...

Hi Adria! Well listen you are not alone. Don't give up!

Have you taken anything for this yet? Tried anything?

That's def. the first step to take. If you are lacking energy/motivation and you cannot focus. I would recommend what I finally found (after a tremendous amounts of medicines and remedies.)..Adderall XR. It will last all day and wont interfere with your sleep (which you def. need being a mommy : ) It gives me an immediate mood/energy boost. I go all day without a stuggle! The one thing I would say is that you may find yourself very talkative and kind of hyper. I would def. start at a low dose and work your way up. Jittery feeling is normal. I promise you it's nothing to be afraid of. Everyone gets nervous about it, but it is so worth it in the end. The only I do want to say is if you have a heart disease/related issues in your family watch how much you take. You don't want it to make your heart race. I only say that because that's a symptom I hear people talk about. I don't have that symptom just the ones I listed above. I wish you the best of luck and I'm always here to chat and give some advice. : )

Good luck!

Brooke
