Can a family practice physician diagnose and treat this condition or would i have to see a specialist or phyciatric doctor? I need to do something because i am getting worse. I and business owner and it is suffering. I need help fast!

A family physician is able to diagnose adult ADHD, although some do not feel comfortable and will refer you to a mental health professional. Some family physicians are not experienced or have not received training in adult ADHD and may not be the best person to treat you. Whether or not your family physrician feels comfortable diagnosing ADHD would be impossible to say. However, this may be a good place to start.
