This is a great question Katherine   I am inspired by the stories of other people who have dealt with life long challenges.  When I was a kid I read a lot of autobiographies.  I really loved reading about kids who overcame odds...like Helen Keller.  I read a lot about kids with special needs and then grew up wanting to help...so I became a teacher.  Now I teach my own son who has autism.  He inspires me everyday...because no matter what he is going through...he still finds joy.   I am inspired by the fact that I am small in the world.  But as small as we all are...we can still make a difference.  And you have made a difference...by asking this question.    Thank you for getting me to ponder things this morning.
