Throat clearing - Is it a side affect from Concerta?

My son has been on 18mg of Concerta for 6 months now. All of a sudden he has started clearing is throat, it seems to start in the afternoon but he does it non-stop until bed time. He has done this before even before concerta so I would give him Claritin and it would go away. Claritin…
