I am having the same problem but I dont think you have to get social security to pay but you can get medicaid but the only problem with having medicaid it limits your dental as well as medical because alot of the good dentists and doctors will not take medicaid because it doesn't pay on time but you are right if you get social security it is a label he will be considered disabled and what if he gets treatment now and is ok but later on has another problem it may be harder for him to get it
