Cathy, Life certainly must be difficult for you every day. What courage you have to just make it to the end of the day!! Although I do not have to cope with the struggles of mental illness, I can certainly relate to having an adult son at home that does have mental illness.   As hard as it may be, you are going to need to set some rules for what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in your household.   I previously wrote an article on Adult Children Lving at Home that you might be interested in reading.   In addition, I just posted a share post from a mother that you might find interesting. (although it is quite sobering)   It is important for you to be able to take care of you. Setting rules and being specific on what is acceptable is a start.   Please let us know how it is going.   Eileen
