Although people react differently to medications and metabolize medications at different rates, normally, this type of medication should be effective within an hour of taking the medication.

This is not a type of medication that you must take for several weeks to feel the effectiveness, such as antidepressants. It is more like taking an aspirin in that it works shortly after taking it and remains effective for several hours.
