Is it possible that an autistic 12 year old child that was use to just he and his mother at home, act different at home and school if he is faced with sharing his home with one other adult fulltime and two teenage boys part-time?

Hi there

 

This is a difficult question to answer.  But I do know from experience that my son who has autism has great difficulties adjusting to change and certainly having new people to live with may create some behavioral issues as he adjusts. 

 

Can you tell us more about the situation?  Are you talking about a group home/residential situation?  What kind of behaviors are you noticing?
