your son is so familiar with my son who is going to be19 next month, except my son did'nt graduate. In school, In the beginning, I didn't get any help, until he was in 5th grade. That was because I started searching for a advocate from my state. Because of her stepping in, It was a start, Although what I was concerned for my son, was not what the school wanted. After I moved to get in a better enviroment, HE WAS IN MIDDLE school. that was ok, but then he went into high school, and it was like they didnt care. So in my opinion the system failed him. I wish I knew how to change the school system. First of all there is alot of issues with kids when they build these BIG, Fancy schools, and try to put hundreds of them together. I think the smaller schools have the advantage. My daughter graduated with a class of 67 kids. And you know, they had better relationships with each other. The people who worked there, knew the kids pretty well. and now they want to close this school in the next 2 yrs because of funding. so you see , the school system is not for the well being for our children. It's all about money. I work for a school in Indiana that just build the fancy hi tech school. These kids are so out of control, already destroying the school, they have no respect, and the teachers dont do anything. It seems like the school is set up for sports, theater, like a acting school. What are they really learning. not how to survive when you get out of school.
