Q: concerta and adderol what is best

I currently take 10 mg adderol for adult add.  It is not working well enough for me.  I am wondering if "concerta" would work better.  I also suffer from chronic pain and take extended release morphine.

Okay..Heres a trick with Concerta®(methylphnidate extended release):its active ingrediaent is methylphenidate(MPE from hereon), which VERY similar to cocaine in its pharmacology: botg reuptake SEROTONIN & DOPAMINE and make it acummulate in synapse. Methylphenidate and cocaine are just fast drugs. They like doing their job fast and breakdown amd leave. Now Concerta, unlike Ritalin is a very hi-tech ingeneered tablet that MAKES THE MPE work slowly. For some it works, for many, including myself : its a horror. see, u cab't just raise serotonin and dopaminew/o affecting othe neurotransmitters.NE goes up, EP, suptypes of Dopamine we DONT want to raise (like D1 amd D4)...i dunno..PEOPLE with add need stimulants because we LACK them naturally. But u want to keep the balance. Cocaine will mostly "play" w/ "good" 'mitters where as methylphenidate will affect all. But..The pharmacology of ADD or ADHD Is so complex & unique by its nature that there is NO definite answwr which is better: to each is own.. Reply
