Ann Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com. I am glad that you have found this site and am sure you will find the information here useful. Please don't feel guilty about not having known about ADHD sooner.   Your children each have a 50% chance of developing ADHD if one of their parents (you) have ADHD. If you are seeing signs in your children, the best thing to do is to talk with your doctor about an evaluation. That way, you can work with the doctor to set up a treatment plan.   I am providing you with links to additional information you may find helpful:   10 Coping Mechanisms for Thriving With Adult ADHD   10 Tips for People Newly Diagnosed with ADHD   The First 48 Hours With ADHD   So You Think Your Child Has ADHD   Tips for Parents When a Child is Diagnosed with ADHD   When to See a Doctor for your School Age Child with ADD/ADHD   I hope this information helps.   Eileen
