Tuesday, November 15, 2011 mouse asks

Q: Do you talk in 1/2 sentences, confuse ppl easily when you think you explained something well, and not fully explain a thought?

Ppl have always told me I don't talk in full sentences or that I don't make sense when I talk. I get annoyed because I think people just don't listen then accuse me of not explaining things. I don't realize it when I'm doing it. I'll say something like "I need you to babysit on wednesday because I have to work this weekend." I don't even think to explain that I need an hour on wednesday to prepare my products for the weekend. Does anyone else do this? Do you have any advice for me?

I read your question and had to laugh. My husband talks in 1/2 sentences all the time. While it drives my children nuts, I am used to it and have been with him so long that I can usually finish the sentence. Often, he will say a half sentence and then a few minutes later finish it. So, no, you are not alone. Unfortunately, though, I don't have any answers for you other than surround yourself with supportive people who accept exactly who you are.
