Q: Explain to me about ADD and problems with math.

We are having a very bad time with this.  I have to spend alot of extra time with my daughter on math. 10 yr old female, ADD and it seems to be getting worse as she gets older instead of better.

ADHD does not impact math abilities. ADHD impacts the ability to pay attention, which may cause problems with not hearing the information taught in school or being distracted when completing homework. If you are having a difficult time with your daughter in math, you may want to consider asking the school to evaluate your daughter for  a math learning disability.
