Q: Has this person ADD or ADHD

I currently have a friend who is 20 years old. THis person has lost a close friend in a car accident, had there parents split up and will not go to councelling. This person constantly tells lies and when confronted about theses lies they still beleive them to be true. i find they beleive there own lies and try convince all other family members they are true when they are not. They are constantly low in themself and seeking attention from every person they talk to. They have to be centre of attention and if there not they will find a way to become it. I am finding it very hard to deal with this person as i cannot beleive anything they say? How can i help? Are theses signs of ADD or ADHD

this does not sound like AD/HD but it does sound like some underlying anxiety disorder. and depression. Mybe some bipolar disorder. I am not a doctor and can not make a diagnosis so I think that the best thing for you to do is just listen to what this person has to say . take it with a grain of salt and just go your own way.

you know there is nothing that you can do till they go get help from a doctor.

my heart goes out to you just be storng.
