Saturday, February 05, 2011 just Me asks

Q: can anyone answer my question I'm going to be taking a drug test in a few days.

In December I took a few pills of aderall will it show up on a drug test in February then there is a question of hydrocodone I have a prescription as of a few weeks ago but I was taking it long before. Will the drug test reveal this I would really appreciate to hear from someone that has first hand knowledge of this thank you

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice. I am sure you know that it is dangerous to take medication that has not been prescribed to you. In the future, you should always consult a doctor before taking any prescription medications. These medications should only be obtained through a qualified physicians.

 

That said, I don't think "a few" Adderalls that were taken in December will show up in a screening test in February. As far as the other medication, you should  receive a form to complete indicating any prescription medications you are taking. Since you have a prescription for this medication you should list it.

 

What medications show up on the screening would depend on the type of screening the employer orders.
