I think she has ADHD but I'm not sure.
Hi,
I always recommend that a child first be seen by their pediatrician to rule out any possible medical reason for the ADHD symptoms. Allergies, thyroid, sleep disorders, etc., can often mimic ADHD. If the doctor clears her for that, ask if he is experienced in evaluating for ADHD. Unfortunately, most do not have the time or training to do a thorough evaluation. So I typically recommend the parent seek out a child psychiatrist, psychologist or neurologist or mental health professional and to make sure they have a lot of experience evaluating children for possible ADHD.
Hope this helps!
Terry
