Hiyah Martha!

I hear you...it is very difficult at this age and I am so glad you are wanting to get help for him.  Most cities have a birth to kindergarten age program of some sort.  What I suggest is to write everything down...all of his symptoms and behaviors.  Go to your pediatrician and ask for a referral of where you can get him tested.  I would start there.  For my son we found a Diagnostic and Evaluation Center after he was seen for language delays from a speech therapist.

Let us know what happens.

In the meantime please explore this site...there is much information to read as well as support.  Whatever happens you are going to survive this.

I have been reading a book by Dr. kenneth Bock and Cameron Stauth " Healing the New Childhood Epidemics".  Your symptoms of your son sound very much like many in this book. I have a son who is ADHD but not severe but I have been researching alternative ways to treat him.  This book has been a HUGE enlightenment.  It covers, the Austism spectrum, ADHD, Allergies, and Asthma.  I got my book from our library if they do not have it I recommend buying it.  I am sure it will be worth it.  it is a thick book but please don't be overwhelmed it is an easy read and easy to understand.  Also you can look up the Rhinebeck Health Center which he co-founded to get more info.  I hope this helps.  I would love to know.  Good luck and stay strong.
