adderall xr makes me sleepy why, anyone else have this issue

I've taken adderall for about a year, seemed to help some, I take 20 mg in the a.m & 20 at noon. sometimes I forget at noon.For what ever reason it has always made me kind of sleepy, sometimes I just have to go nap. My Dr. said stop for about a week, realized it had been doing some good but not like I thought it should as I have still get sleepy on it. Does anyone else have this issue? I go back to the Dr. next week & will be talking to her about it. Any suggestions. At this point I'm pretty much still going in circles.
