Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to provide you with a diagnosis or medical advice. ADHD is considered to be a medical diagnosis and must be diagnosed by certain medical professionals. To find out what types of medical professionals can diagnose ADHD:

I am also providing you with articles on additional information. The below articles will explain some of the behaviors and characteristics of ADHD at different ages. Again, these should not be used for diagnostic purposes but may give you a starting point and give you information to share with your doctor on why you believe your son may have ADHD:

ADHD in Toddlers

ADHD in Preschool

ADHD in Early Elementary Age Children

There is also information on what steps you should take if you believe your child has ADHD. The first step would be to make an appointment with your family doctor or pediatrician and discuss your concerns. He or she may refer you to a mental health professional for further evaluation as some pediatricians do not feel comfortable diagnosing ADHD and would like a mental health provider to do the evaluation.
