Q: Does ADHD cause anxiety?

Or does anxiety sometimes cause ADHD, or do they occur together?

ADHD and anxiety can certainly occur alongside one another, which is known as co-existing disorders. In some people stimulant medications for ADHD can cause nervousness, agitation or anxiety.
