My son & I where seeing a Phychologist on a once a month Family Session & then last summer he said to me "This is the 3rd & last time I'm going to tell you that you have ADD & you better do something about it" & then he said when's the next see the Psychiatrist for my son's once a mnth meds check, for his ADHD.  I told him next week, he said good cause I'm putting this in my notes & I'm giving her a copy of it.  So the next week @ my son's appt. I told her what the Psychologist had said & she said yes he right you do, we where just waiting for you to admit it.  So I had a one on one hour long session w/her the following week (normally they are only 30 mins., but as a new person the sessions an hour long) cause she had to do a whole evaluation questionaire & then she put me on Wellbutrin Extended Release 300mg tablets once daily) for it & then a few mnths (about 5 or 6 mnths) later she upped the dosage to 450mg's once daily, I take a 300mg & a 150mg tablet daily to equal up to the 450mg dosage.  At the end of last mnth Sept. 28th she had me start on Strattera & I had to work the dosage up to the dosage she wanted me to take.  That Sunday the 28th I started w/an 18mg Capsule, then the following Sunday I went to a 25mg Capsule, then I went to a 40mg Capsule this past Sunday & on this Sunday Oct. 19th I will start taking a 60mg Capsule once daily & the 60mg's is the dosage that I will stay at until I don't know when.  Hope this gives you somewhat of an idea about how to get diagnosed.  Take Care Heather & Kaleb
