Q: Is there anyone who acts as an Advocate for ADHD Adults with regard to IRS issues? I have not filed my business or personal (married-joint) returns for '06, '07, '08, '09 or 10.

My company was set up by an accountant in '05. In short, my business files, taxes, etc. were not adequately monitored. '05 taxes took me 2-1/2 years to resolve with the IRS. My records are in such disarray that I cannot see the light in order to organize and file my tax returns. I have hired numerous Organizers, Personal Assistants and CPA's, paid thousands of dollars to try to get help to get my taxes in order, but anyone I hire gets too frustrated because everything is such a mess. I have not found anyone with the fortitude to help. My husband is being issued levies, and I have several tax notices for my business. My husband's taxes have not been filed because they need to be combined with mine (and my small business). Is there anything you can suggest to get me help with the IRS?

I don't personally know of anyone who focuses on this kind of work. However, a good place to start might be:

Use JAN (Job Accommodation Network)

The description from their site sounds like it might be an excellent resource:

Working toward practical solutions that benefit both employer and employee, JAN helps people with disabilities enhance their employability, and shows employers how to capitalize on the value and talent that people with disabilities add to the workplace.
