I wouldn't worry so much about the quality, for now it's all you have; some generics are better than others, speak to your pharmacist, or one you know personally.  All patients have different reactions to medications; if it seems to be helping, keep using it.  However, this is my own personal reaction.  I was in my late 40's when I started taking adderall--the first thing that I noticed was the feeling of a tremor (kind of like during an earthquake, a bit of rumbling for a while before the "waves" strike).  After about a month, there was a strong tremor in my left leg, but it wasn't everyday, or even during a certain time of day, after any particular event, and I never had any way to identify when it would happen.  I believe that I would have ended up with PD anyway, but I believe the tremor was what pushed it forward more quickly...and that was with the BRAND NAME adderall!  Just keep an eye on reactions, maybe the generic will keep you from having any of the BAD side effects!  Good luck with finding a better generic brand...but always be a bit wary.  The dx of Parkinson's disease was officially on August 28, 2002!  Hope this helps, Lory

If you want a great generic thats close to the brand name I reccommend "shire"...its generic but I don't feel any difference between that and the brand name.  I take 30 mg IR and I definitely know what you mean when you say that the pink generic ones aka "barr"  are complete GARBAGE...ive talked to my doctor so many times and even pharmacists about how I feel the complete difference between certain generics...even though they still claim it is THE SAME I know what my body tells me...so "shire" is what I recommend for the regular adderall. Hope this helped
