Cielo   Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.   Many children with ADHD are emotionally immature as compared to their chronological age. The symptoms you have described: emotionally immature, painfully shy, day dreaming, are all symptoms of ADHD (Inattentive Type).   It would be impossible to say whether your daughter has something else as well.
