Q: I've been given protriplylene to treat my ADHD/depression/sleep disorder.

I've been given protriplylene to treat my ADHD/depression/sleep disorder. I'm 45 in perimenapause with hypothyroid & addisons disease and taking levothroid & cytomel. Is there one type of specialist to treat all these conditions instead of 3 seperate doctors?

I don't believe current treatments are working as well as they should. It seems all these conditions have similiar symptoms. I also have allergies & asthma and take zytec, astilen, nasalcrom & abuteral inhaler. It can't be good taking all these meds. How do these medications interact?

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

For your first question, other than a General Practitioner, there is probably not a physcian that would treat the different disorders you have mentioned as these involve different systems within the body.

As far as the interactions of the different medications, I am not completely familiar with the different medcations you have mentioned, since most do not have to do specifically with ADHD. I am also not a medical professional.

I would suggest speaking directly with your doctor or pharmacist about possible interactions and ask what symptoms you should be aware of that may be caused by interactions.
