Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.
I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice.
You don't mention whether you have been formally diagnosed with ADHD and, if so, if this is the doctor who diagnosed you. If you haven't been diagnosed, that would be your first step. You may want to make an appointment with a psychiatrist or psychologist, both whom are qualified to diagnose ADHD.
If you have previously been diagnosed and your doctor still does not want to prescribe medication, you should ask him why. You can also choose to see a psychiatrist for your ADHD and discuss medication with the psychiatrist.
If you are not happy with the care you receive from your primary doctor, you are able to go to another doctor. Check with your insurance company to find out which doctors in your area accept your insurance and contact the different offices to be sure they are accepting new patients.
