I can tell you that Prozac is commonly used to treat OCD. Abilify, as you said, is often used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, however, doctors frequently prescribe medications off-label, which means that based on their experience, and that of other doctors, a medication has been found to be helpful when treating a condition it is not approved for. I have heard some people with OCD discuss that their doctor has prescribed Abilify to help reduce symptoms of OCD.
It would be impossible, however, to tell you which medication is best for your son. Because everyone reacts differently to medication, there is no right or wrong medication. Unfortunately, in many cases, it is a matter of trial and error to find the right medication and the right dosage.
