Q: my son is very smart but his teacher wont tell me he not working hes falling behind again help

my son is going in the 5th grade but the school is letting him fail

I can't answer this from a parents point of view (although I am one), I can just answer it from the child. When I was in school, my parents would have a meeting with pricipals & teachers at the begining of school & after christmas break. They also had very open lines of communication with my teachers through out the year. It would not be something that you couldn't at least ask the school to do for you. Also having a folder system with the teacher that you son knows he has to be responisble for might help him as well. That is just a few things that I remember. I hope that things improve for him.
