New York to Require Coverage of Autism

This week the New York Legislature passed a bill that would require insurance companies in New York to cover services for children with autism.

Gov. Cuomo is expected to sign the bill which would cover toddler screenings, speech, physical and occupational therapy - and behavioral treatment.

Under current law, insurers could deny coverage.
