If a child weighs five pounds or less at birth, he or she has a higher chance of having mental health problems later in life, according to a new study. Psychiatrists studied more than 800 children at ages 6, 11, and 17. They found that those with a birth weight of less than 5lbs 8oz were more susceptible to anxiety and depression. These children were also more likely to have a history of aggressive outbursts and trouble paying attention.
