Daytrana patch drugmaker Shire pharma says the drug is helpful and safe for adolescents with ADHD. A clinical trial on teens between the age of 13 and 17 found that those who used the patch had fewer ADHD symptoms than participants who were given a placebo. The Daytrana patch is already approved for use in children age 6 to 12.
