ADHD doubles the risk of injury, a new study has found. Researchers analyzed data from the parents of 4,745 fifth graders and found that those who scored high on the ADHD assessment were almost twice as likely to report that their child had been inured the previous year. Researchers say the impulsive behavior that is associated with ADHD can mean that kids aren't paying close attention to risks in their environment, or to what they're doing, and that can lead to accidents.
