The ADHD meds Ritalin, Adderall, and Concerta do not appear to cause genetic damage that can lead to cancer, a new government-funded study says. This study counters one conducted in 2005 that found chromosomal damage in 12 out of 12 children taking Ritalin. The new study was designed to mimic the earlier test, but used 47 participants and included several ADHD medications. Reserachers say they found no chromosomal damage caused by standard doses of the medications.
